Unless Infant Tylenol Counts As Drugs?

You know the last scene in Carlito's Way? Where Al Pacino is desperately racing to meet Gail on the train so that they can get the heck out of dodge and start a drama-free life in the Caribbean? Only "Benny Blanco from the Bronx" meets him at his train and shoots him before they can escape? Well, we are leaving for Florida in the morning and I'm feeling a little Carlito Brigante right now. Everyone's all packed, clothes are set out for the morning, the airplane totes are stocked with DVDs, sticker books, blankies, and snacks, and all that's left is for me to get beach ready (i.e. shave). I'm almost there - I can feel it...the sun on my face, the warm breeze...

And lucky for me, I'm not involved in a Puerto Rican drug ring, so chances are we'll make it to our flight :)

The Daily Shoe

In honor of my trip this week to Seattle, here are some weather-appropriate rainboots. I actually have a pair of Kamik's. They are super comfy, warm and snug. Off into the rain I go!

Miss BUSY Body

Gah! Between preparing for my conference next week, preparing to go on my work trip, planning BLOGALICIOUS 2009 and keeping up with the general everyday stuff I feel like I'm out of breath! Things should settle down after next week and I promise I'll get back on the blogging wagon soon. There's just not enough hours in the day!

The Love Dare

Hubby and I are doing The Love Dare. I wonder if any of you have heard of it. It's a book with 40 consecutive days of dares that you have to do for your spouse. The purpose of the book and the dares is to challenge husbands and wives to practice unconditional love. So far, I'm loving it. We've been doing them for just about 1 week and already I look forward to reading and doing the next day's dare. There's a theme for each day, for example, Love Is Not Selfish or Love is Thoughtful or Love is Not Irritable (how about that one?), along with a short lesson. Anyway, I just thought I'd share since we're enjoying our journey through this book. If you've already taken The Love Dare or are in the process of doing so, let me know what you think.
