Did you all read the
summary of the police affidavit from the officer on the scene after the Chris Brown and Rihanna incident? It's shocking. If the statements are true - and I have to assume they are because hopefully Rihanna wouldn't lie to police - then Chris B. has
serious issues. And I would venture to say that she does too because she's supposedly back with him. I mean she's 21 for crying out loud. Can't one of her family members or friends let her know that she absolutely doesn't need to put up with that? That she has the world at her fingertips and that she just needs to let him go?
As for him - I hope he gets help. I really do. Up until this incident,
he had the world at his fingertips too. But just like that, because of an angry rage over a freakin' text message, he will have a criminal record. He probably
is the product of an abusive household as he's said in the past, but it's unfortunate that his past manifested in this way. No Michael Phelps Special Treatment for him. Nor should there be. I'm no therapist but it sounds to me like they have dependency and enabling issues.

It's just frightening to me that a man can do that to a woman, and the woman will choose to go back to him. I mean, did anyone show her the pictures of her face? Where's her father in all of this? Her mother? She is young and in love and a little dumb (we all were at that age) so I'll give her that. But the pictures tell the story... I pray that she LOOKS at herself and reads that report and wakes up. A man capable of doing that to a woman WILL NOT CHANGE.

I just hope all the people who insisted on giving him the benefit of the doubt, despite his public statement which had "GUILTY" written all over it and besides the photos of her after the incident, will finally STOP defending Chris Brown. I think what did it for me was the part that read something like "wait until we get home"...which signals to everyone "okay, this is a common place thing." because why else would he say that if he didn't do it ALL THE TIME!?!
ReplyDeleteinsane. i've reached the point where now i change the station when one of his songs come on the radio. yup. that statement affidavit had that much affect on me.
I pray that he and she get some help. It is a sad situation indeed!
