Miss BUSY Body

Gah! Between preparing for my conference next week, preparing to go on my work trip, planning BLOGALICIOUS 2009 and keeping up with the general everyday stuff I feel like I'm out of breath! Things should settle down after next week and I promise I'll get back on the blogging wagon soon. There's just not enough hours in the day!

The Love Dare

Hubby and I are doing The Love Dare. I wonder if any of you have heard of it. It's a book with 40 consecutive days of dares that you have to do for your spouse. The purpose of the book and the dares is to challenge husbands and wives to practice unconditional love. So far, I'm loving it. We've been doing them for just about 1 week and already I look forward to reading and doing the next day's dare. There's a theme for each day, for example, Love Is Not Selfish or Love is Thoughtful or Love is Not Irritable (how about that one?), along with a short lesson. Anyway, I just thought I'd share since we're enjoying our journey through this book. If you've already taken The Love Dare or are in the process of doing so, let me know what you think.

Sunday Evening

Rarely is there a weekend where I don't do anything. But since this weekend I was fighting strep throat, I decided to take it super easy and not do much of anything. Yesterday my big show of productivity was going to Target to buy soccer gear for Chatterbox. Today I made it a priority to get my behind to DSW to use my 30% coupon before it expired. Like I said, priorities. Other than that, I was a bum. I cleaned up around the house, framed some photos that have been hanging around for months, played Bratz dolls while getting my hair "styled", and caught up on US of Tara episodes. It has been lovely. Granted, the groceries for the week have not been done; the girls' hair has not been done; and I didn't cook a meal since Thursday. But it's all good. And I'm surprisingly not stressed about it. Who says people can't change?
